Dosage and administration of Duvroq tablets 6 mg from Japan for renal anemia (daprodustat)

1. For patients with chronic kidney disease but not on dialysis and untreated by erythropoiesis stimulating agent: for adults, start with taking 2-4 mg of the active ingredient at a time, once a day. Then the dosage may be adjusted according to the condition. The maximum daily dose of 24 mg should not be exceeded.
2. For patients with chronic kidney disease but not on dialysis and switching from erythropoiesis stimulating agent: for adults, start with taking 4 mg of the active ingredient at a time, once a day. Then the dosage may be adjusted according to the condition. The maximum daily dose of 24 mg should not be exceeded.
3. For dialysis patients: for adults, start with taking 4 mg of the active ingredient at a time, once a day. Then the dosage may be adjusted according to the condition. The maximum daily dose of 24 mg should not be exceeded.

Please note that this preparation contains 6 mg of the active ingredient in a tablet.

How effective are Duvroq tablets 6 mg from Japan for renal anemia (daprodustat)?

Duvroq tablets contain daprodustat, a hypoxia-inducible factor prolyl-hydroxylase inhibitor. It works by increasing the production of erythropoietin which stimulates the production of red blood cells and hemoglobin. Consequently, Duvroq tablets increase the number of red blood cells and improve anemia.

Duvroq tablets are effective for the treatment of renal anemia in patients with chronic kidney disease.
