Medical effect: Japanese Toki-shakuyaku-san is effective for treatment of following diseases and conditions:
- anemia,
- poor blood circulation, especially in legs and hip area,
- inflammatory bowel disease,
- climacteric disorders,
- irregular menstrual cycle,
- cervical pseudo-erosion,
- leukorrhagia,
- syndrome of morning swollen face,
- various complications associated with bad blood circulation after childbirth, abortion or miscarriage.
Contraindications and precautions:
Do not use in pregnant or breastfeeding women. If an allergic reaction occurs, stop using the product. Do not use in children under 5 years old.
Dosage and Administration of Toki-shakuyaku-san from Japan
5 to 7 years old: 2 tablets a day,
7 to 15 years old: 3 tablets a day,
5 years old or more: 4 tablets a day.

Toki-shakuyaku-san is a traditional Japanese Kampo medicine, consisting of 6 herbal plants, i.e., peony root, atractylodes lancea rhizome, alisma rhizome, hoelen, cnidium rhizome and Japanese angelica root. Toki-shakuyaku-san is effective for treating anemia and various conditions, associated with poor blood condition. Japanese gynecologists often recommend it for women suffering from climacteric disorders or blood circulation problems after childbirth, abortion or miscarriage. Toki-shakuyaku-san is effective for such problems in women health as irregular menstrual cycle, cervical pseudo-erosion, leukorrhagia and many others.
Studies also show that Toki-shakuyaku-san has an ability to improve inflammatory bowel disease due to its anti-inflammatory effect (R. Sreedhar, S. Arumugam et al. “Toki-shakuyaku-san, a Japanese kampo medicine, reduces colon inflammation in a mouse model of acute colitis”. International immunopharmacology, 2015 Dec; 29(2):869-875.).
Toki-shakuyaku-san from Japan can be used by adults and children above 5 years old, but strictly follow the dosage. The average course of treatment is about 1 month, after that, make a break not less than 6 months.
