Contraindications and precautions:
Do not use for pregnant and breastfeeding women, as well as patients with liver diseases. Due to high hormonal activity is not recommended for women with a history of tumors of mammary glands and reproductive organs. It is also not recommended for very young patients. While growth hormone is still produced in the body, hormonal therapy won't be sufficient. Besides, estradiol reduces the effectiveness of insulin and other sugar reducing drugs. That's why patients with diabetes should discuss the decision with their doctor.
Progynon Depot's effects and Administration
Treatment of hormonal imbalance requires extremely professional and safe therapy. During the menopause, decreasing level of necessary hormones leads many unpleasant symptoms. Amongst them persistent sweating and heart palpitations, atrophy of the vaginal mucosa (itching, burning and discomfort), urinary incontinence, depression, irritability, anxiety, memory impairment, increased risk of osteoporosis, cystitis, atherosclerosis, migraine and many others. However, the hormone replacement therapy can cause a large number of side effects.
Progynon Depot contains estradiol, the most active form of female sex hormone. It is characterized by long-term action in the body. 10 mg of estradiol in each ampoule is the optimal dosage of the hormone. This dosage makes up for the lack of natural hormones. Injections allow the hormone to quickly enter the bloodstream, normalize the hormonal balance and significantly reduce unpleasant symptoms.
Also, Progynon Depot is recommended for the following purposes:
- prevention of osteoporosis for women after menopause,
- hormonal therapy for transsexual operations (male to female),
- treatment of amenorrhea for young women,
- treatment of the symptoms of androgen-dependent prostate cancer.
Furthermore, a course of treatment with Proginon Depot can have such additional effects as an increase in breast size, activation of fat metabolism and increased libido. Estradiol does not increase risk of cancer. On the contrary, it is used for treating mammary carcinoma. Progynon Depot is now also available in our Japanese Health Store. Please pay attention: orders paid after Dec 15th may be shipped after Jan 6th because Japan Post and courier services will not operate during Holidays. If you pay before we are 99% likely to ship before holidays. If you pay after make sure you can wait as delays are possible due to end of year holidays.
