Medical effect: Vencoll combination tablets are effective for treatment of constipation and elimination of intestinal contents in abdominal organ test or perioperative period.

Contraindications and precautions: do not use for the following categories of patients:

• Pregnant, possibly pregnant or breastfeeding women should not use Vencoll combination tablets,
• Patients who are suspected of having acute abdomen,
• Patients who are diagnosed with a severe hard stool,
• Patients with a spastic constipation.

Please note that urine may change color to yellow-brown or red.

If an allergic reaction occurs, stop taking the medicine and consult with your doctor. If you’re taking any other medication or receiving any other treatment, you have to consult with your doctor before use.

Dosage and administration

For adults, take 5-6 tablets at a time, before bedtime, or 6 tablets a day, dividing into 2-3 doses. This medicine should be taken with a large amount of water.

The doctor in charge may adjust the dosage according to age and symptoms of the patient.

Vencoll combination tablets have two main ingredients, casanthranol and dioctyl sulfosuccinate, also known as docusate. Casanthranol increases peristalsis via direct action in the myenteric plexus, thus, improving bowel movements. Docusate softens stool by absorbing more water and slightly inhibiting fluid absorption in small intestine.
