Medical effect: Sawacillin capsules are effective for the treatment of various bacterial infection, including respiratory, skin, otorhinolaryngological, oral and dental infections. In combination with other medicines, they are also used for the treatment of Helicobacter pylori infection of:

• stomach / gastric ulcer,
• duodenal ulcer,
• gastric MALT lymphoma,
• idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura,
• after endoscopic therapy for early-stage gastric cancer,
• Helicobacter pylori-associated gastritis.

Contraindications and precautions: do not use in patients with infectious mononucleosis, pregnant or breastfeeding women. If an allergic reaction occurs, stop using the medication and consult with your doctor. If you’re taking any other medication, please consult with your doctor before use.

Dosage and administration of Japanese Sawacillin capsules 250 mg (amoxicillin, antibiotics)

For Helicobacter pylori infection and Helicobacter pylori-associated gastritis: For adults, take 3 capsules with other two medicines (combination of clarithromycin or metronidazole and proton-pump inhibitor, like lansoprazole, omeprazole, rabeprazole sodium, esomeprazole, or vonoprazan) at a time, 2 times a day, for 1 week.

For other infections: For adults, take capsule 3-4 times a day. For children, take 20 to 40 mg of the active ingredient per 1 kg of body weight a day, dividing into 3-4 doses.

The dosage may be adjusted according to the age or symptoms by the consulting doctor. But for children the maximum dosage of 90 mg/kg body weight a day should not be exceeded.
