Medical effect: Predonine tablets are effective for treatment of the following diseases and conditions:

• various allergic reactions ranging from seasonal allergies to drug allergic reactions,
• asthma,
• acute lymphoblastic leukemia and autoimmune hepatitis,
• systemic lupus erythematosus,
• Crohn’s disease and Kawasaki disease,
• uveitis and urticaria,
• pyoderma gangrenosum,
• rheumatoid arthritis,
• angioedema,
• ulcerative colitis,
• pericarditis and temporal arteritis,
• Bell's palsy,
• multiple sclerosis,
• vasculitis,
• dermatomyositis,
• sarcoidosis.

Contraindications and precautions: do not use in patients with measles or chickenpox, generalized mycosis, peptic ulcer, psychosis, tuberculosis, herpes simplex keratitis, posterior subcapsular cataract, glaucoma, hypertension, abnormal electrolyte or thrombosis. Do not use in patients with a a history of acute myocardial infarction or recent surgery in visceral organ. Do not use in pregnant or breastfeeding women. If an allergic reaction occurs, stop using the medication and consult with your doctor.

Dosage and administration of Japanese Predonine tablets 5 mg (Millipred, prednisolone, corticosteroid) 

For acute phase of Kawasaki disease: take 2 mg of active ingredient per 1 kg of body weight a day, dividing in 3 times. But the maximum dosage should not exceed 60 mg (12 tablets a day).

For other indications: take 1-12 tablets a day, dividing in 1-4 times. The consulting doctor may adjust the dosage according to the age and symptoms.

Prednisolone is a synthetic corticosteroid medication. These tablets provide anti-inflammatory action, anti-allergic action, immunosuppressive action and various metabolic actions.
