Medical effect: Prednisolone tablets are effective for treatment of the following diseases and conditions:

• various allergic reactions ranging from seasonal allergies to drug allergic reactions,
• various inflammations,
• asthma,
• autoimmune hepatitis,
• systemic lupus erythematosus,
• vasculitis etc.

Contraindications and precautions: do not use in patients with infection, such as measles or chickenpox, generalized mycosis, peptic ulcer, psychosis, tuberculosis, herpes simplex keratitis, posterior subcapsular cataract, glaucoma, hypertension, electrolyte abnormality or thrombosis. Do not use in patients with a history of acute myocardial infarction or recent surgery in visceral organ. Do not use in pregnant or breastfeeding women. Do not use fo patients who are hepatitis virus carrier. Do not use for patients who have just received a vaccination.

For adults, take 1-12 tablets (5-60 mg of the active ingredient) dividing into 1-4 doses. The consulting doctor may adjust the dosage according to the age or symptoms.

When used for malignant lymphoma, in combination with antineoplastic agents, maximum daily dose should not exceed100 mg per square meter of the body surface area.

When used for acute phase of Kawasaki's disease, take 2 mg of active ingredient per 1 kg of body weight daily dividing into 3 doses. The maximum daily dose should not exceed 12 tablets (60 mg).
