Medical effect: ciprofloxacin is effective for treatment of the following diseases and conditions:

1. infections of bones and joints,
2. endocarditis,
3. gastroenteritis,
4. malignant otitis externa,
5. respiratory tract infections,
6. cellulitis,
7. urinary tract infections,
8. prostatitis,
9. anthrax,
10. chancroid.

Contraindications and precautions: do not use children, in pregnant or breastfeeding women. Do not use in patients with epilepsy or other seizure disorders. Use with caution in patients with renal disorders, myasthenia gravis, aortic aneurysm or aortic dissection. If an allergic reaction occurs, stop using the medication and consult with your doctor. If you take any other medications, please consult with your doctor before use.

Dosage and administration of Japanese Ciproxan tablets 200 mg (antibiotics, Ciloxan, Cipro, Neofloxin)   

For anthrax: take 2 tablets 2 times a day.

For other indications: take 100-200 mg of active ingredient 2-3 times a day. Please note that 1 tablet contains 200 mg of active ingredient. The consulting doctor may adjust the dosage due to age or symptoms.

Each tablet of Ciproxan contains 200 mg of ciprofloxacin hydrochloride hydrate. It is a broad-spectrum fluoroquinolone antibiotic effective against various skin infections, respiratory infections, ontological and urological infections. Ciproxan works by inhibiting DNA gyrase and a type II topoisomerase, essential for separating bacterial DNA, thereby, inhibiting cell division. Studies proved that ciprofloxacin has greater oral absorption, increased peak serum concentrations and areas under the curve, higher tissue concentrations, and longer elimination half-lives than the antibiotics of previous generation (K. Ciproxan tablets are effective for various infections caused by Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, such as infections of bones and joints, endocarditis, gastroenteritis, malignant otitis externa, respiratory tract infections, cellulitis, urinary tract infections, prostatitis, anthrax, and chancroid. Also, Ciproxan tablets are recommended for patients with abdominal infections, acute pyelonephritis, complicated or hospital-acquired urinary tract infection, acute or chronic prostatitis, certain types of endocarditis, certain skin infections and prosthetic joint infections.
