Medical effect: ursodeoxycholic acid has multiple scientifically proven effects on human body. These include following:

Dosage and administration of Ursodiol (ursodeoxycholic acid) from Japan.

For treatment of disease of biliary system or liver disease and improvement of liver function and dyspepsia: 1/2 tablet (50 mg of the active ingredient) at a time, 3 times a day.

For dissolution of cholesterol gallstones: 2 tablets (200 mg of the active ingredient) at a time, 3 times a day.

For improvement of liver function in primary biliary cirrhosis and chronic liver disease due to hepatitis C virus: 2 tablets (200 mg of the active ingredient) at a time, 3 times a day. The dosage may be adjusted according to age and symptoms by the consulting doctor. But the maximum daily dose of 900 mg should not be exceeded.
