How effective are Valsartan tablets 160 mg from Japan for hypertension and high blood pressure (Diovan)?
Valsartan is an angiotensin II receptor blocker. It selectively binds to angiotensin receptor 1 (AT1) and prevents the protein called angiotensin II from binding. By this, Valsartan tablets effectively prevent angiotensin II from exerting its hypertensive effects, which include vasoconstriction and cardiac stimulation.
