Medical effect: Spiropent tablets are effective for the following symptoms and diseases:

• respiratory distress caused by airway obstruction in bronchial asthma,
• chronic bronchitis,
• emphysema,
• acute bronchitis,
• urinary incontinence associated with stress urinary incontinence.

Contraindications and precautions: do not use in patients with lower urinary tract obstruction. Do not use in pregnant or breastfeeding women. If an allergic reaction occurs, stop using the medication and consult with your doctor. If you’re taking any other medication, please consult with your doctor before use.

Dosage and administration of Japanese Spiropent tablets 10 mcg for bronchodilation and urinary incontinence

For bronchial asthma, chronic bronchitis, emphysema or acute bronchitis: For adults, take 2 tablets 2 times a day, in the morning and before bedtime. For children aged 5 years old or over, take 0.3 mcg of the active ingredient per 1 kilogram of body weight 2 times a day, in the morning and before bedtime. For stress urinary incontinence: For adults, take 2 tablets 2 times a day, in the morning and evening.

The dosage may be adjusted by the consulting doctor due to age and symptoms. The maximum daily dose is up to 6 tablets.

Spiropent tablets contain hydrochloride salt of clenbuterol, a sympathomimetic amine that works as decongestant and bronchodilator. In other words, this medicine helps to ease respiration by widening of the airway and provides anti-allergic action. Moreover, Spiropent tablets provide relaxing effect of bladder smooth muscle, lowering effect of intravesical pressure and contracting effect of external urinary sphincter and, by this, improves urine leakage in patients with stress urinary incontinence.

Spiropent tablets 10 mcg are prescribed for patients with bronchial asthma, chronic bronchitis, emphysema and acute bronchitis. Studies also proved that 71.4% of patients with urinary incontinence associated with stress urinary incontinence show improvement after treatment with clenbuterol hydrochloride (T. Katsumi, K.
