Medical effect: Riluzole tablets blocks TTX-sensitive sodium channels and inhibit the kainate and NMDA receptors. They delay the beginning of ventilator-dependence or tracheostomy and may increase survival by two to three months.
Contraindications and precautions:
Riluzole tablets cannot be used for the following categories of patients:
- patients with liver diseases,
- patients with kidney diseases,
- patients with infections and/or having high body temperature,
- pregnant or breastfeeding women.

Take 1 tablet 2 times a day, at morning and evening, after the meal. Don’t drive the vehicles or operate the machines while taking this medicine.

Riluzole was the first medication approved for treatment of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. Multiple clinical trials showed that riluzole significantly prolongates survival of patients with ALS (R. G. Riluzole tablets are used for treatment of patients with ALS at different stages. At early stages, it partly normalizes central and peripheral dysfunction and prolong time the patient can live without depending on lung ventilation system. At later stages, Riluzole tablets prolong survival probability, giving a 9% increase in surviving 1-year rate and extending the average survival from 11.8 to 14.8 months.
