Medical effect: Restas tablets are effective for the treatment of neurosis symptoms (anxiety, tension, depression, fatiguability, sleep disorder), psychosomatic disorder (hypertension, gastric or duodenal ulcers, chronic gastritis, irritable bowel syndrome), and physical symptoms of psychosomatic disorders.

Contraindications and precautions: do not use for pregnant or breastfeeding women. Do not use in patients with glaucoma, myasthenia gravis, cardiac, liver, renal, organic brain or respiratory disorder.

For adults, take 1 tablet 1-2 times a day. The dosage may be adjusted by the consulting doctor according to age, weight and symptoms. But for the elderly patients, the daily dose is strictly limited to 2 tablets.

How effective are Japanese Restas tablets 2 mg for anxiety and stress (flutoprazepam)?

Restas tablets’ active ingredient is flutoprazepam, a benzodiazepine derivative patented in Japan in 1972. It acts on benzodiazepine receptors in the brain, helps to relax muscles and provides sedative, hypnotic, anxiolytic and anticonvulsant effects. Restas tablets are effective for the treatment of the following diseases and conditions:

• anxiety, tension, depression, fatiguability or sleep disorder associated with neurosis,
• psychosomatic disorder (hypertension, gastric or duodenal ulcers, chronic gastritis, irritable bowel syndrome),
• physical symptoms of psychosomatic disorders,
• severe insomnia.

Due to its long-acting active metabolites, flutoprazepam is longer acting than diazepam or many other benzodiazepines.
