For adults:

1. Start with 5-10 mg a day as an initial dose,
2. then, the dose may be adjusted according to the patient’s age and symptomsб
3. the standard dosage is 10-20 mg of the active ingredient at a time, once a day,
4. the maximum dosage is 40 mg a day.

Please note that this tablet contains 20 mg of the active ingredient.

Olmetec tablets contain olmesartan medoxomil, an ester prodrug, completely and rapidly hydrolyzing to olmesartan during absorption from the gastrointestinal tract. It works by exerting a selective action on angiotensin II type 1 receptor and competitively inhibiting the binding of angiotensin II in order to control blood pressure.
