As an additional treatment alongside pretreatment with orally administered gastrointestinal lavage solution for barium enema X-ray examination, adults typically ingest 4 tablets (20 mg of mosapride citrate) along with the gastrointestinal lavage solution (approximately 180 mL) during the lavage solution administration, followed by taking four tablets with a small quantity of water after administering the lavage solution.
