How effective is Horiuchi-H NK Fucoidan capsules from Japan (spleen, vegan, gluten-free, vegetarian)?

Horiuchi-H NK Fucoidan was developed together with the scientists of Kyushu Univercity. The capsules consist of 96% fucoidan delivered from Durvillaea antarctica brown algae. It differs from the focoidan delivered from Mozuku seaweed. Mozuku Fucoidan is used for producing the low-molecular fucoidan, with the weight of 1000-500 or less. Durvillaea antarctica fucoidan is high-molecular, with the average weight about 40,000, and those two types provide different biological activity on immune cells. Studies showed that high-molecular fucoidan enhances the viability and prevents the death of spleen cells and significantly increases the production of interferon and nitric oxide (Ji-Young Jang, Sun-Young Moon, Hong-Gu Joo. “Differential effects of fucoidans with low and high molecular weight on the viability and function of spleen cells” // Food and Chemical Toxicology, Volume 68, June 2014, Pages 234-238).  

Who should take Horiuchi-H NK Fucoidan capsules from Japan?

While most of the capsule type supplements use gelatin as capsule shell's main ingredient, Horiuchi-H NK Fucoidan uses hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC). This product is organic, gluten-free and vegan, and has received a certification of Vegan Action (The Vegan Awareness Foundation).
