Medical effect: Ulcerlmin fine granules 90% are effective for the treatment of following diseases and conditions:

• gastric ulcer,
• duodenal ulcer,
• gastric mucosal lesion (erosion, bleeding, redness, edema) in acute gastritis,
• gastric mucosal lesion in acute exacerbation phase of chronic gastritis.

Contraindications and precautions: do not use for pregnant or breastfeeding women. Do not use for patients on dialysis.

If an allergic reaction occurs, stop using the medicine and consult with your doctor. If you’re taking any other medication or receiving any other treatment, you have to consult with your doctor before use.

Dosage and administration

For adults: take 1 to 1.2 g (900 to 1,080 mg of the active ingredient) at a time, 3 times a day. The doctor in charge may adjust the dosage according to the disease, age or symptoms.

Please note that this preparation contains 900 mg of the active ingredient per 1 g of granules.

Ulcerlmin fine granules contain sucralfate hydrate, a gastroprotective agent. It works by binding to sites of gastric or duodenal ulcer or gastritis and forming protective layer to protect gastric mucosa from gastric acid. As the active ingredient may cause aluminium accumulation, Ulcermine fine granules are not recommended for people with chronic kidney failure. However, in general this medicine has few side effects and well-tolerated. Studies showed that sucralfate hydrate is not metabolized in the body, excreted unchanged in urine and in feces (K. Steiner, K. U. Buhring et al. Sucralfate: pharmacokinetics, metabolism and selective binding to experimental gastric and duodenal ulcers in animals // Arzneimittel-Forschung, 1982, 32 (5): 512–8).

It’s particularly effective for the treatment of active duodenal ulcers not related to the use of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.
