Medical effect: Tizanidine tablets are effective for the following purposes:

• improving myotonic state caused by neck-shoulder-arm syndrome,
• improving myotonic state caused by low back pain,
• treatment of spastic paralysis in cerebrovascular disorder,
• treatment of spastic paralysis in posttraumatic complication.

Contraindications and precautions: do not use for pregnant or breastfeeding women. Do not use for patients with liver disorders.

As this medicine may cause sleepiness or dizziness, patient should avoid operating in potentially hazardous activities such as driving a car.

Patient should refrain from drinking alcohol while taking the medicine as it may enhance the side effects such as sleepiness. Smoking also may affect the efficacy of this medicine.

If an allergic reaction occurs, stop using the medicine and consult with your doctor. If you’re taking any other medication or receiving any other treatment, you have to consult with your doctor before use.

Dosage and administration

For myotonic state: for adults, take 1 tablet (1mg of active ingredient) at a time, 3 times a day after meals.

For spastic paralysis: for adults, start with taking 1 tablet (1mg of active ingredient) at a time, 3 times a day after meals, as an initial dose. Then the dosage may be gradually increased up to 2-3 tablets at a time, 3 times a day.

The doctor in charge may adjust the dosage according to disease, age and symptoms of the patient in any case.
