Medical effect: Irribow tablets are effective for the treatment of the following diseases and conditions:

• diarrhea,
• abdominal pain,
• diarrhea-predominant irritable bowel syndrome,
• nausea and vomiting, including postoperative and cancer chemotherapy induced conditions.

Contraindications and precautions: do not use for pregnant and breastfeeding women. For patients with a history of abdominal operations use only upon the decision and monitoring of the consulting doctor.

Dosage and administration of Irribow tablets 5 mcg from Japan for diarrhea and irritated bowel syndrome (Ramosetron)

For male patients: In adults, take 1 tablet at a time, once a day. The dose may be adjusted by the consulting doctor according to the patient’s symptoms. However, the maximum daily dose should not exceed 2 tablets.

For female: In adults, take 2.5 mcg of active ingredient (0.5 tablet) at a time, once a day. The dose may be adjusted by the consulting doctor according to the patient’s symptoms. However, the maximum daily dose should not exceed 1 tablet.

Irribow tablets contain ramosetron hydrochloride, a serotonin 5-HT3 receptor antagonist. It works by exerting an opposing effect on serotonin receptors on the efferent nerves.
