Medical effect: Endoxan tablets are effective for the treatment of following:

• various cancers, including multiple myeloma, malignant lymphoma, breast cancer, acute leukemia, etc.,
• systemic AL amyloidosis,
• treatment-resistant rheumatoid diseases,
• nephrotic syndrome, resistant to the treatment with adrenal corticosteroid.

Contraindications and precautions: do not use for pregnant or breastfeeding women. Do not use for patients with infections.

If an allergic reaction occurs, stop using the medicine and consult with your doctor. If you’re taking any other medication or receiving any other treatment, you have to consult with your doctor before use.

Both male and female patients should take an adequate contraception while taking this medicine, as it may cause abnormality in the fetus.

Dosage and administration

For various cancers: for adults, take 2-4 tablets (100-200 mg of active ingredient) a day.

For systemic AL amyloidosis: for adults, take 300 mg of active ingredient per 1 m2 of body surface area weekly. The single dose should not exceed 500 mg.

For treatment-resistant rheumatoid diseases: for adults, take 1-2 tablets (50-100 mg) a day.

For nephrotic syndrome: for adults, take 1-2 tablets (50-100 mg of active ingredient) a day, for 8-12 weeks. For children, take 2-3 mg per 1 kg of body weight a day for 8-12 weeks. The total amount of the dosage for children should be in general, 2 tablets (100 mg) or less daily. The total amount of dosage for children should never exceed 300 mg per 1 kg of body weight.

In any case, doctor in charge may adjust the dosage according to disease, age and symptoms.

Endoxan tablets contain cyclophosphamide hydrate, a cytostatic drug from the group of alkylating agents. It’s rapidly converted in the liver into active metabolites, which distribute to all tissues and have a high protein binding ability. By providing DNA alkylation, cyclophosphamide causes cell apoptosis and provides immunosuppressive effect.

Who should use Endoxan tablets 50 mg from Japan?

Endoxan tablets are effective for the treatment of various cancers, including multiple myeloma, malignant lymphoma, breast cancer, acute leukemia, etc. Patients need careful clinical and hematologic control to avoid undue manifestations of toxicity (J. Solomon, M. J. Alexander, J. L. Steinfeld. “Cyclophosphamide. A Clinical Study”. JAMA. 1963;183(3): 165-170). Also, Endoxan tablets are used for the treatment of systemic AL amyloidosis, treatment-resistant rheumatoid diseases and nephrotic syndrome resistant to the treatment with adrenal corticosteroid.
