Active ingredients: bacitracin (chemical formula C66H103N17O16S), fradiomycin sulfate (chemical formula C23H54N6O26S3), hydrocortisone acetate (chemical formula C23H32O6)
Medical effect: Dolmycorti ointment is effective for the treatment of purulent skin diseases (contagious impetigo, furuncle of face, folliculitis etc.) and suppuration of various genesis including:
- eczema,
- dermatitis,
- heat rash,
- rash,
- chilblains,
- insect bites,
- hives.
Contraindications and precautions: do not use for pregnant or breastfeeding women without the doctor’s permission. Do not use on the areas affected by chickenpox, Athlete's foot and ringworm. Do not use on the face extensively. Do not use for a long period or continuous use. Avoid using on wet or severely inflamed areas, deep wounds or severe burns.
If an allergic reaction occurs, stop taking the medicine and consult with your doctor. If you’re taking any other medication or receiving any other treatment, you have to consult with your doctor before use.
Dosage and administration of Dolmycorti ointment from Japan (topical antibiotic, corticosteroid)
Rub an appropriate amount of this medicine into the affected area once to several times a day.
Do not apply this medicine to eyes. If the ointment gets into the eye, wash it with water or lukewarm water immediately. If the symptoms like pain, redness or itch remain, consult with ophthalmologist immediately.
How effective is Dolmycorti ointment from Japan (topical antibiotic, corticosteroid)?
Dolmycorti ointment contains two different antibiotics and a corticosteroid. Bacitracin is a topical antibiotic effective against Gram-positive bacteria. It works by interfering with bacterial cell wall and peptidoglycan synthesis. Bacitracin is often used as an aftercare antibiotic on tattoos, circumcision and other skin surgical procedure to reduce the infection risk (Q.-J. Tong, K. D. Hammer et al. “A systematic review and meta-analysis on the use of prophylactic topical antibiotics for the prevention of uncomplicated wound infections”. Infection and Drug Resistance, 2018; 11: 417–425). Fradiomycin sulfate has broad activity against Gram-negative bacteria and Gram-positive bacteria. Hydrocortisone acetate reduces the swelling, itching, and redness.
