If hypoglycemic symptoms occur while patient is taking this medicine concomitantly with an alpha-glucosidase inhibitor (acarbose, voglibose, etc.), patient should take the glucose. It’s recommended to carry sugar or glucose to use in case of hypoglycemia and to carry a card of diabetic patient.

In some rare cases this medicine may cause urinary-tract infection or genital infection. Patient should pay attention to the unusual symptoms and consult with the doctor if needed.

As this medicine may cause frequent urination, patients should drink an adequate amount of fluid and pay attention to excessive decrease in body weight.

If an allergic reaction occurs, stop using the medicine and consult with your doctor. If you’re taking any other medication or receiving any other treatment, you have to consult with your doctor before use.

Dosage and administration

For adults: take 1 tablet (20 mg of active ingredient) once a day, before or after breakfast.

Deberza tablets contain tofogliflozin hydrate, a highly specific sodium/glucose cotransporter inhibitor. It works by inhibiting high glucose-induced reactive oxygen species generation in tubular cells and consequently inhibiting glucose reabsorption in kidneys. By this, Deberza tablets promote the excretion of glucose into urine and decrease the blood sugar level.
