For adults, take 2 tablets once a day, after a meal, with a glass of water or lukewarm water. The consulting doctor can prescribe starting with 1 tablet depending on patient’s symptoms.
Do not split or crunch the tablets. The dosage may be adjusted according to the age or symptoms by the consulting doctor.
How effective are Betanis tablets 50 mg from Japan for controlling the urge to urinate (Mirabegron, Myrbetriq)?
Each Betanis tablet contains 25 mg of mirabegron, a novel, first-in-class, potent β3-adrenoceptor. It relaxes the bladder muscles and contributes to the bladder neurotransmitter, by this, helping to control the urge to urinate. Studies showed that Betanis tablets improve micturition frequency, volume voided per micturition, number of incontinence episodes, nocturia episodes, urgency incontinence episodes, and urgency episodes per 24 hours (E. Sacco, R. Bientinesi. Mirabegron: a review of recent data and its prospects in the management of overactive bladder // Therapeutic Advances in Urology. 2012, December, 4 (6): 315–24). Oral controlled absorption system in Betanis tablets allows the release of active substance from the tablets for an extended period. That’s why it’s enough to take the tablets just once a day.
Who should use Betanis tablets 50 mg from Japan?
Betanis tablets are generally safe and well-tolerated. While mirabegron is similar in action to other antimuscarinic medication such as solifenacin or tolterodine, it shows more than threefold lower incidence of dry mouth compared with tolterodine. Furthermore, it can be used for the patients with severe renal dysfunction or moderate liver impairment under the monitoring of the consulting doctor. The dosage should be lowered to 25 mg a day in these patients.
