Medical effect: Azimycin ophthalmic solution is effective for the treatment of various bacterial eye infections, including following:
- conjunctivitis,
- blepharitis,
- hordeolum,
- dacryocystitis.
Contraindications and precautions: do not use for pregnant and breastfeeding women. Do not use for patients with contact lenses.
Store at 2-8℃ before opening bottle and store at room temperature (1 to 30℃) after opening bottle.
If an allergic reaction occurs, stop taking the medicine and consult with your doctor. If you’re taking any other medication, please consult with your doctor before use.
Dosage and administration of Azimycin ophthalmic solution 1% from Japan (azithromycin, conjunctivitis, blepharitis, antibiotic)
For conjunctivitis: For adults and children at age of 7 years old or more, apply 1 drop 2 times a day for 2 days. After that, appy 1 time a day for 5 days.
For blepharitis, hordeolum and dacryocystitis: For adults, apply 1 drop 2 times a day for 2 days. After that, apply 1 time a day for 12 days.
Before applying, wash your hands with soap and water. Then turn the bottle down and shake several times. After that, turn the bottle up, open the cap and apply the medicine so the tip of eye dropper does not touch the surface of your eye.
If your doctor prescribed you to use other eye drops at the same time, wait more than 5 minutes.

Azimycin ophthalmic solution contains azithromycin, a macrolide antibiotic that works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis. It is used against some Gram-positive bacteria, some Gram-negative bacteria, and many atypical bacteria. Azimycin ophthalmic solution 1% is effective for the treatment of eye infections such as conjunctivitis, blepharitis, hordeolum and dacryocystitis.
Who should take Azimycin ophthalmic solution 1% from Japan?
Azimycin ophthalmic solution can be used for adults and children of 7 years old and more.
