Medical effect: Gabalon tablets are effective for the treatment of spastic paralysis caused by cerebrovascular disorder, spastic spinal paralysis and other cerebral disorders.
Contraindications and precautions: Do not use for pregnant or breastfeeding women.
As this medication may cause sleepiness, patient should avoid driving a car, working on heights or operating dangerous machinery while taking this medicine. Avoid drinking alcohol while taking this medicine.
An abrupt withdrawal may cause negative side effects. A patient should not stop taking the medicine until their doctor instructs them to do so.
If an allergic reaction occurs, stop taking the medicine and consult with your doctor. If you’re taking any other medication or receiving any other treatment, you have to consult with your doctor before use.
Dosage and administration
For adults: start with taking 1-3 tablets a day, dividing it into 1-3 doses, after meals. Then gradually increase to the standard dose of 6 tablets a day, increasing by 1-2 tablets every 2 to 3 days. Please note that this preparation contains 5 mg of the active ingredient in a tablet.
For children: start with 1 tablet a day, dividing into 1-2 times, after meals. Then gradually increase by 1 tablet to the standard dose with the steps by every 2 to 3 days. The daily standard dose is as following:
- for children aged 4-6: 1-3 tablets (5-15 mg),
- for children aged 7-11: 1-4 tablets (5-20 mg),
- for children aged 12-15: 1-5 tablets (5-25 mg).
In any case, the doctor in charge may adjust the dosage according to the symptoms, age or weight.

Gabalon tablets contain baclofen, a medicine of skeletal muscle relexants class. It works by activating or agonizing receptors of the neurotransmitter gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), specifically the GABA-B receptors. As the result, Gabalon tablets suppressessynaptic reflex in the spinal cord, lower activity of gamma-motor neurons, and consequently relieve the muscle tension.
